We can already hear the sizzlin' and taste that charbroiled flavor! It's summer and Father's Day is just around the corner and who doesn't love a perfectly seasoned and cooked burger?!
We're sharing our special burger seasoning recipe with you along with our favorite toppings that actually put the burger over the top and rank it as one of our favorite summer meals.
First, mix all these yummy seasonings together:
• 2 ½ Tbsp. paprika
• 2 Tbsp. unrefined sea salt
• 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
• 1 Tbsp. onion powder
• 2 tsp. black pepper
• 2 tsp. ground mustard
• ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
Then, mix 3 tsp. per pound of grass-fed or pasture-raised ground beef and make some good-sized patties - no skimping!
Have your grill nice and hot so you can sear each burger for about 4 minutes per side. Then to keep them nice and moist, turn the heat down or move them to indirect heat and cook for about 10 minutes or until they are cooked to your liking. The key with grass-fed beef is to not overcook it - go for a medium or medium-rare finish here!
Use Butter Leaf Lettuce or crisp Romaine instead of a bun and cut the refined grains and carbs.
Then, load up your burger with any of these favorites:
*avocado oil mayo by Chosen Foods or Primal Kitchen
*avocados or guac
*raw sauerkraut or dill pickles
*sautéed onions and mushrooms
*organic grass-fed cheese
Add a side of Sweet Potato Fries cooked in coconut oil, grass-fed butter or ghee and seasoned with sea salt and pepper along with sautéed buttered broccoli and you'll be in summer meal heaven!
